Everything ached as they crashed to the ground. His body and nerves from Remiel Calcifet's electric shock and explosion. His mind in distress over Royal having tanked the metal claw for him and falling into the raging seas. [Break][break]

"Yeah... what a shock that an adult can be more help than a kid," he sasses back weakly as he struggles to get up. Though furthest he gets is going on one knee. It wasn't that kids were weak, Eris Halla and Hideo Kino were proof of that. But Raziel knows he wouldn't have done half as well back then.[break][break]

Honestly he is partly bluffing as he isn't sure just how much Melody Miro and ollie morales would take his side. But he was acting on trust on them, he just hopes they could do the same when he got back

He can't show this level of weakness, not in front of Theo. "Otherwise I'd rather you just exposed me!" he continues his argument had he really misunderstood? Did the hits he took from the other mess with his perception? Once more he forces himself back to just only his knees as one hand slowly, more due to pain that by choice, makes its way toward his belt should the other not comply. [break][break]

He wasn't leaving here without them safe and way from Rocket.

It's his turn to express his confusion at the other's line of questioning. A level of expression that only those Raziel was comfortable with got to see as usually Razz kept his emotions in check to a point of almost seeming monotone, and stoned faced. Something he never really picked up on himself, just the reality of things. [break][break]

"Guilt," because he didn't want to fight a fellow Ranger. [break]
"Annoyance," as despite how much he has done to fight for the league Remiel Calcifet didn't give him any shadow of a doubt that something was going on before he got branded as traitor. [break][break]

That was easy to answer but when it came to intervening about saving Theo he is silent as he actually think a bit more about it. "You weren't always such..." he mutters painfully before sighing, "but enemy or not we had a deal and I'm sick and tired of Rocket saying that the league can't be trusted at their word, I know they're not perfect but I want to be a leaguer that people can rely on and trust."[break][break]

it wasn't the easiest because he wasn't a people person, but he knows actions have their own volume.

Just what truth was he hiding from?[break][break]

He doesn't understand the other not until he questions about going back, and there can't help but be a look of disgust at the idea of going back to who he was. With a hint of curiosity of the man the other wanted him to be. "I don't know what it is you expected me to be but I'd rather die than go back, I don't want to be that scared little kid anymore. If you think I'm lying about who I am now? Then you had no idea who I used to be then.[break][break]

Stressing and struggling daily over trying to be the scientist my dad wanted, to be the solider Rocket expected all to be spread so thin that I had nothing to me, hell my name was ever only an extension of my family while I had no real identity of my own. Just to go home and get punished for not being either?"[break][break]

"To you? Do you really see yourself that different from my dad?" he questions with some annoyance but also pain because he knows what the other was to him. But as much as Theo had been a safe haven for him from his parents the other had his own ways that caused him emotional pain. "The man who told my dad, despite knowing what he did to me that I need to 'play catch up,'" he says quoting something his father had told him. He doesn't know the full context of that conversation, and how the other said no such thing only just compared him to his brother then to compliment him. But as usual his father painted a different story that just lead to more pain. "Just to throw me out of your training the very next day?" while eventually he got back in and once more Theo had become that safe space away from his family, the other wasn't guilt free of his torment in Rocket.[break][break]

Though while red flags weren't going off at first they certainly start waving when Theo mentions this so called hypothetical not being his choice. He tried to grab for Tango's pokeball as he's the only one of his pokemon who wasn't worn down by war. Yet its clear moving fast was an impossibility with his injuries. The nerve damage from having been shocked just made getting a grip on the pokeball a struggle.

He grabs it, he has control for just a fleeting minute before suddenly his body is stiff. Before there was wariness, anger but now with the threat and how he had no control all he felt was terror. At the question there are plenty of things he wants to ask. How the other plans on getting him to comply to him? How he would convince Rocket that he deserved to come back, but even that line of thinking just brings more fear because he knows what happens with traitors. [break][break]

Of all the people who could bring him in, Theo was not the person he expected to take him back. [break][break]

"Making me do as you say? Forcing me to fit into a mold that you want? Not allowing me a choice? You are exactly like him!" he shouts back in anger, unable to do anything else. In his eyes he tries to make sure there is nothing more than defiance, but Theo might also see the hidden fear that lingered beneath it. He wanted to open Tango's pokeball but his body wouldn't respond, and he had no doubts that the puppet pokemon was suppressing his other pokemon from coming out. So all he would do is shout his defiance and throw the worst insult he could think of at the other. [break][break]

Theo may claim to disapprove of his father's way of raising him, but this was no better.
